Pre-War MG Sports-Cars

SeeRed welcomes a special race for pre-war MGs, the ‘MMM’ racers.  The five lap Scratch race will feature a grid of cars from the MG mark such as R, K3, J2, PA, NA, N, L1, M, Montlhery, PB Cream Cracker, and Magnette Types.  With such a wide range of cars, this is sure to be a thrilling race.    Vintage MG cars were very sophisticated for their time with overhead camshafts, modular four and six cylinder engines, superchargers and pre-selector gearboxes. Cars could comfortably acheive over 100bhp per litre which was a heady mix for competition cars in the 1930’s particularly as they were built for road use as well. Drivers such as Dick Seaman, Whitney Straight, Goldie Gardner, Tazio Nuvolari, George Eyston, Prince Bira, Johnny Lurani and many others, claimed many acheivements winning amongst others, the  Ulster TT, Brooklands Double Twelve, Mille Miglia team prize and even coming sixth at Le Mans. This race will be supported by passionate owners of these delightful cars, keen to demonstrate the 'MMM' cars capabilities.
