Ron Flockhart Trophy Race
for post-war 'pre '61 front-engined & up to 2-litre rear-engined
Grand Prix Cars
The VSCC took post-war front-engined Grand Prix cars under its
wing when 205F Maseratis were only eight years old. There is still
great interest in such cars so expect a good grid of them together
with such names as Connaught, Cooper, BRM, Ferrari, Talbot-Lago
and Lotus from an era when Britain commenced its stranglehold
on Grand Prix racing. Ron Flockhart won this ‘Lady Wigram’ Trophy
in 1959 in New Zealand and it is generously loaned to the VSCC
by Gillian Fosler, his widow.
