Vintage Seaman Race
for 'pre 1931 Racing Cars
This 12-lap race for pre-1931 (Vintage) racing cars is for a
trophy originally awarded to British pre-war hero Richard Seaman
for winning the 1936 200 Mile Race at Donington Park in his 1926
Grand Prix Delage. Expect to see a field comprising Bentley, Bugatti,
Delage, Frazer Nash, Morgan, Riley, Alfa Romeo, and more challenge
last year's winner, Jeff Stow in his 1928n Type 35B Bugatti . This race provides a chance to reflect the contrast between
the continental Grand Prix machinery and the home spun Brooklands
racers in an era prior to serious British involvement in Grand
Prix racing.
